-TJ Naylor, President and Chief Executive Officer
TJ Naylor is a native of Newark, New Jersey and proud graduate of the Madison, CT A Better Chance (ABC) program. In 2003, he graduated from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and simultaneously received his commission from the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) as a Second Lieutenant. In 2007, he received a Master’s of Business Administration in Logistics and Strategic Leadership from Touro University. Currently, he is an active duty Army Major. He credits his successful military career to the lessons he learned while at the Roby house. His experience at the Madison ABC program taught him dedication, perseverance and teamwork. It is the most memorable experience of his life despite an exciting military career.
-Eric Charway, Chief Marketing Officer
Eric Charway graduating Class of 2001 from Madison A Better Chance. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with BBA’s in Marketing and Management. He spent the last few years working in the healthcare industry as an insurance verification specialist at Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, Texas. He has worked in sales and customer service for most of his career and is currently an Account Executive for the Hertz Corporation. Throughout the years he has kept close relationships with members of the program and hopes to reinforce these bonds with fellow alumni and current students through the foundation. He believes success comes with willingness to be outside of your comfort zone, being prepared when the right opportunity comes along and cultivating healthy networks and relationships.
-Richard Martin, Secretary of the BOD
Richard Martin, a graduate of the Madison A Better Chance program (class of 2000), is energized by supporting young students of color. Richard believes his time in the Madison A Better Chance Roby House—as he watched countless volunteers work tirelessly and passionately for him and his fellow housemates— helped to spark his desire to give back. After attending Providence College (2000- 2004), Richard joined the staff of A Better Chance as a Junior Technician. Since that time, Richard was promoted through the ranks and is now the Community Schools Program Manager for A Better Chance, Inc. Richard’s primary focus in this role is to support the 21 nonprofit organizations, their Board of Directors, and the 140 high school A Better Chance Scholars in their care. While in this role, Richard also works with, and advises, young students of color, their families, and a variety of schools and CBOs, as he looks to recruit and place students into the Community Schools Program before they are enrolled into the A Better Chance program. Richard hopes to further his support of our future leaders as a member of the Madison ABC Roby House Alumni Foundation’s Board of Directors.
-Jesse Rijos, President of the BOD
Jesse Orlando Rijos Graduated with Honors from the Madison, CT A Better Chance program in 1997 (Daniel Hand High School). He was accepted and graduated with a BA in Economics from Boston University (Class of 2001).
Post Graduation, he has pursued a career in Financial Management, working for such Organizations as Dana- Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, University of Central Florida, Miami University Medical School, and currently serves as Director of Operations for TherAssist Software LLC. Jesse now serves as President of the Board for the newly established Madison ABC Roby House Alumni Foundation.
-Anik Choudhury, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Anik Choudhury graduated from Madison ABC in 2002 and went on to attend Villanova University, where he earned a B.S. in Accounting with a Minor in Finance. Since graduating Villanova in 2006, his professional accomplishments have included working four years with one of the esteemed Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte & Touche, earning his CPA license, and working on three successful IPOs. Most recently, he worked as a Manager of External Reporting at Time Inc. in New York City. Anik is now pursuing his MBA full-time at Penn State's Smeal College of Business. Anik has kept strong ties with the program as he has served on the program's Advisory Board since 2010.
-Alessandro Natera, Treasurer of the BOD
Alessandro Natera from the Madison, CT A Better Chance program in 1999 (Daniel Hand High School). He was accepted and graduated with a BA in Communications from Boston College (Class of 2003). Post Graduation, Alessandro (Alex) pursued a career in Communications and Technology. Alex began his career working for NBC/Telemundo as a Broadcasting Engineer for about a year, but then found his niche in 2004 working with the Estee Lauder Companies Online, where has been ever since. Alex began as an Email Administrator for ELC Online, and is now the Global Executive Director of Online Service and Operations Technology.
